THE NUTCRACKER 2026 AUDitions
We are excited to invite dancers 5 years (dancers must turn 5 by September 2026) and up to audition for our 2026 Production of The Nutcracker! If your child is not currently a member of the CRB Company, please register for the audition by clicking below. Current company dancers do not need to register, but should simply show up at their assigned time. The Nutcracker production will take place December 11th, 12th, and 13th at Porter Performing Arts Center.
Dancers who attend CRB as well as dancers from the surrounding community are welcome and encouraged to audition alongside our company dancers.
What should I expect at the audition?
The audition will begin with a barre or center warm up. Additionally, dancers will learn 1-2 phrases of movement and showcase their ability to retain and perform the choreography. Dancers should wear a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes to the audition with hair pulled back away from the face.
When will rehearsals take place?
Rehearsals for public cast (non-company) will primarily take place on Saturdays from 12:00-5:00pm mid-September - December.
Lastly, theater week rehearsals will take place December 5th-10th in the afternoon/evenings.
What is the cost of participating?
The Public Cast (Non-CRB company member) fee is $150 and must be paid by December 1, 2026. The fee covers the cost involved for costumes, instruction, staff, etc. Additionally, all audience members (including parents of cast members) must purchase tickets to the performances. Please note, the cost of tickets will increase the week of the show.
